Talk therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), is an evidenced based trauma focused psychotherapy treatment designed to alleviate distress from memories. Through intermitent bi lateral stimulation (e.g. tapping, eye movements, audio, walking etc.) individuals reprocess painful experiences and report reduction in emotional charge from memories and replacing negative beliefs with positive ones. EMDR often produces results and relief faster than traditional talk therapy.

EMDR therapy

I draw from various therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. We’ll work together to understand how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviors, and explore ways to shift negative thinking patterns to foster growth and self-compassion. I work with a wide variety of clients

Psychoanalysis

Psychoanalysis is about understanding how your past shapes your present. By bringing unconscious emotions to the surface, we work through unresolved issues and break unhelpful patterns. In these sessions, you may use free association, explore dreams, or even use the traditional psychoanalytic couch to dive deeply into your inner world. The insights gained can lead to profound changes in how you relate to yourself and others.

Intensive therapy sessions are highly focused, extended sessions that go beyond the traditional 53-minute therapy hour. Intensives are designed to accelerate healing by condensing weeks or even months of therapy into half-day or full-day experiences (typically 3–6 hours).

These sessions focus on trauma processing, inner-child healing, and nervous system regulation. Intensives are highly customizable and may include built-in breaks as well as the integration of multiple therapeutic modalities.

Jackie tailors each intensive to the client’s unique needs, drawing from a variety of specialties including EMDR, walk-and-talk therapy, and Reiki.

Benefits of Intensive Therapy include:

  • Accelerated progress and deeper breakthroughs

  • Increased time efficiency

  • Immediate relief and practical tools

  • Reduced overall treatment time

Intensives are available on both weekdays and weekends, making it easier to prioritize healing without disrupting your daily life.

Walk & Talk Therapy is exactly what it sounds like — therapy that happens while we walk side-by-side, usually outdoors in a peaceful, natural setting. Instead of sitting across from each other in an office, we move together at a comfortable pace while engaging in meaningful conversation.

This approach blends the emotional depth of traditional therapy with the proven mental health benefits of gentle movement and time in nature. Research shows that walking can increase mood-boosting neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, reduce cortisol (the stress hormone), and improve cognitive clarity. Many clients find that they think more freely, feel less “on the spot,” and access emotions more organically when they’re moving.

There’s also something powerful about the side-by-side dynamic. It can feel less intense than face-to-face sessions, which often makes it easier to open up — especially when discussing vulnerable topics like anxiety, trauma, identity shifts, or the transitions of parenthood.
